Just Add Meat

So I wasn’t going to post this evening because we are playing hostess to some of our friends for the Bruins game. But I get very excited about cooking a good meal that’s cheap!

The Ingredients:

I have been slackin, and I forgot to take out any meat from the freezer. So I looked in the cabinet and found a lone can of tuna.  I also found a Pasta Side. Any budget savvy person knows that Pasta Side + protein = a meal! Add a veggy to that mix and its pretty much a feast. lol

Introducing Ghetto Tuna Noodle Casserole!

TUNA: $1

PASTA SIDE: $1 (on sale!)

FROZEN VEGGIES: .88 cents (on sale) for the whole bag (I used about 1 cup)

TOTAL MEAL: $2.10

The Pasta Side takes 15 minutes in the microwave. The package says to add water, milk, and butter, but I only added water so save on some calories. The best part of this recipe is its so versatile. We also often buy the Alfredo Side, and add chicken and steamed broccoli. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s cheap, and its delicious. :-) (I am in no way affiliated with any of the above brands)

 

I just finished baking something for tonight’s festivities and I’m excited to share them tomorrow! GO BRUINS!
