The Boys are Back in Town

Good evening everyone! It’s officially the end of the work week! After work I hit the gym in hopes of regaining some normalcy in my routine which has been sooo thrown off this week.

I almost had a heart attack when I got there and realized I didn’t have my inhaler but I managed anyway. My body is still recovering from earlier this week, so I didn’t push myself too hard. When I got home I needed something quick and easy to eat. Pasta Side +leftover chicken + veggies= dinner.

Last night I went to my second Red Sox game of the season! For $12 a ticket, how could I pass it up? Especially because one of our favorite past players was pitching for the opposing team!

Derek Lowe! Teresa and I have been stalking him BIG fans since 1999. This was only his second start back at Fenway since he was traded in 2004 . (I yelled to him and he waved which made my whole life :-) )

We began our evening by hitting up Bertucci’s! I got my simple but delicious Four Cheese Raviolis.

I could have easily devoured this whole plate but I stopped myself because I knew I would end up with a Fenway Frank later on :-) By the time we finished eating we still had a few hours to kill before the game to we headed over to our new favorite Fenway hangout.

It was packed so we didn’t last too long before we decided to just head inside the park and watch batting practice. We certainly got a great view :-)

Since it was very overcast and was projected to rain, many “fans” didn’t show up and we were able to reap the benefits!

Not bad for $12. huh? The night would not have been complete without a Fenway Frank!

Of course the Sox choked, but Derek pitched wonderfully and we had a blast cheering him on, and chatting with the irate fans around us.

I freaking miss Derek Lowe! I bet he wouldn’t go golfing with such a slump of a season going on…

Exactly! He would never do that to us! Our pitchers make me so angry these days.

What a great night! You couldn’t go to the movies for 12 bucks! Nothing like a hot dog and a baseball game. :)
