Trick Or Treat

Hey all! How was your Halloween?

Nolan and I went trick-or-treating with our nieces and nephews.

What a fantastic concept. You dress up, and go door to door collecting free food. It’s like a dream!  I stole one too many mini twix bars in my travels. :-) Twix are my favorite candy bar.

When we got home, Nolan and I curled up on the couch and watched The Great Pumpkin, and the original Frankenstein in black and white.

I am pretty huge on traditions, which is why I love this time of year.

This morning I headed to work with my on the go breakfast in hand.

Pumpkin pecan oatmeal with granola. I need to stock up on this stuff before Trader Joe’s stops carrying it this season.

Since our Keurig is still broken,  I had to wait until I got to work to have my coffee.

It was actually a great day at work. :-) I am still absolutely LOVING this school and all the people in it. It’s totally worth the 40+ minute morning commute.

My tutoring session got cancelled after school so I headed on home and did the unthinkable…..

Yup! I dusted off the old treadmill and hopped on for the first time in…. I’m afraid to look back and see how long. And when I mean “dusted off” I mean it….

I am almost as bad as cleaning as I am at exercising. But so far this week looks like this:

Sunday: 5 K

Monday: lazy day

Tuesday: 3 miles at Cushing

Wednesday: Lazy day #2/ trick or treating

Thursday: 2 mile run on the treadmill and 2 hrs of volleyball

I figured it was about time I get the treadmill ready for a long winter. Changing the clocks back on Sunday is really going to mess with my outdoor running schedule. I am seriously debating finding a new gym because when I drove by Fitcorp last month I noticed it was gone. Yup. I’m that girl who’s gym closes and she doesn’t realize for 3 months. Unfortunately, all the gyms near me are either very expensive or overly crowded.

Ok time for volleyball! I look forward to Thursday nights all week to let off some steam and have a few laughs with some great people. And the exercise doesn’t hurt either. :-)

Question:

What do you look for in a good gym?

How did you spend your Halloween?!

Your nieces and nephews look too cute!! We handed out candy here, but we only had 5 trick or treaters. I think the cold kept them home! :( I’m too cheap to join a gym.. isn’t that terrible?!?!

Awww thank you! No I’m too cheap also. My problem is that I have a treadmill and a bike but I never workout at home because I have 1,000,000 distractions! I can talk myself out of exercising was too easily. When I physically GO to a place to exercise I hold myself more accountable.

HA. Before I was injured I was never at the gym ever and I would have been the same way. Glad you had a good Halloween the photos are too cute. My Halloween was nice-I got to relax and see a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. :)
