Well I would say good morning, but after the monstrosity on ice that was the Bruins game, I’m not in the best mood. However, I am taking the true Irish approach and just pretending it didn’t exist. Luckily I have the perfect distraction planned for tonight! At 7pm I will be 10 rows back in a Matchbox Twenty/Goo Goo Dolls concert!! I am soo siked. 🙂 What hockey game? Gosh I feel better already!
Last Friday it was my turn to help organize the monthly birthday breakfast at school. Each month 4-6 teachers bring in baked goods and breakfast treats and we get together as a staff to celebrate everyone who had a birthday that month. This month we celebrated all summer birthday’s which includes mine. 🙂
For my contribution I decide I was going to make quiche! Now I had never made these before but I had heard they were pretty simplistic, which they certainly are!
I made two different ones.
Here is the basic recipe I used.
It’s really that simple! This is such a simple Sunday breakfast idea that it yummy, can be nutritious, and a great way to get rid of leftovers! Everyone was raving about these and couldn’t believe I’d never made them before. I’ll tell ya, the praise/effort ratio is soooo worth it! Nolan’s wheels are already turning and he wants to make buffalo chicken quiche, and a steak bomb quiche with shaved steak, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. They both sound like a great idea and I cannot wait for my vacation so I can spend my days in the kitchen making these dreams a reality. 1 more day! 🙂
