I have been trying to get more protein into my diet and I am getting a little sick of eggs. Over the weekend I bought a package of Trader Joe’s uncured turkey bacon and I wanted to put it to good use. I hadn’t made a batch of scones in a while so I decided to incorporate bacon into my scone recipe.
Cheddar Bacon Scone Recipe:
I love a breakfast you can eat with your hands! Bagels, donuts, muffins, and these scones were perfect on the go! They were savory, a little salty, and had a great flavor. Nolan thinks they need a “dipping sauce”? to which I disagree, but I do think they would go nicely with a little chive butter!
