Flavor of the Week: Pop Art Popcorn!

Good morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! Nolan and I have a hot date planned for tonight which I cannot wait for. I feel like when you are married and have no kids, everyday can be Valentine’s Day, but today we will celebrate the wonderful 8 years we have been together and how much we love the life we have created.  If you are a new reader, check out my V-Day post from last year which focuses on all the foods I LOVE!

Ok, onto the food! Today I have something really tasty to share! My favorite flavor of the week: POPCORN!

flavorDuring my trip to San Francisco, I met the founders of Pop Art, a gluten free organic popcorn company out of Utah. Their line of gourmet popcorn is out of this world and boasts some pretty unique flavors! With plans to incorporate them into our next Tasterie Boxes, they were very gracious in sending me 4 of their most popular flavors for me to savor!

So I received 2 GIGANTIC bags of each flavor:

PicMonkey CollageAll of these flavors immediately grabbed my taste buds’ attention and I could NOT wait to dig in! All of these flavors are very bold and exciting and unlike anything I had ever eaten before. The Thai Coconut Curry doesn’t taste exactly as it sounds. I was a little worried it would be curry crazy but I taste the coconut more than anything. It’s got a sweet taste to it, and it reminds me of the Tikka Masala we made last week! The White Pepper Parmesan tastes like peppery Smartfood and it’s soo addictive! The White Cheddar Jalapeno has a similar Smartfood taste, but with an occasional kick! And it’s super cheesy! Rosemary Truffle is….unique. It tastes exactly how it sounds, with earthy tones with a LOT of rosemary. It may not sound it, but it’s incredible! It’s funny, the two I thought I would like the least, I ended up liking the most!

Here is how I rank these flavors:

#1 Thai Coconut Curry

#2 Rosemary Truffle

#3 White Pepper Parmesan

#4 White Cheddar Jalapeno

I need to emphasize that the White Cheddar and White Pepper are both our of this world good, but they were overshadowed because the other two flavors are so unique! So basically, I have been up to my ears in popcorn and I have been loving it. I am savoring what I have left because I know I will be very sad when I run out.

Now it’s your turn! Share your favorite flavor of the week on my facebook page. I will re-post what is shared on my blog next  Friday. Here were some of my readers’ favorite flavors from last week.

Those popcorn flavors sound amazing. The Thai Coconut Curry shows the most unique and the one I most want to try. I love curry and tikka masala, so this would be right up my alley.

Thanks so much for featuring my Jammie Crumb Bars. I appreciate you sharing it. It’s great to be among such great company.

Justin’s Nut Butter is delicious! As is Cedar’s Hommus! (don’t think there is a dfefirence between hommus and hummus) I’m not sure if it’s Cedar’s or Joseph’s that also makes a artichoke and olive .sooo delicious. I like to buy Cedar’s because it’s local but currently am obsessed with Sabra’s Chipotle & Jalapeno hummus. If you like spicy you should try them! Not a fan of microwave cakes. The texture is weird for me.
