Hello! I am in a hurry this morning, but I wanted to share this week’s farm share!
I am so excited to see some squash and peppers in our haul. This week we got 3 different types of squash, including these odd looking Pattypan squash. Anyone know what I can do with them? We also got a tomato, a pepper, a quart of beans which I picked, beats, carrots, kale, collard greens, and basil.
By the way, did you know that basil hates the cold?! I learned this week that the best way to keep basil fresh is to put it in water with a bag over it and leave it on the counter.
So far it seems to be working! So far, we have eaten about 75% of our veggies! I made a delicious bean and beat salad with a squash, beans and beats that I have been snacking on all week!
