Confession: I spent my night drinking wine and watching season 5 of Grey’s Anatomy.
There are 4 tv shows that I can binge watch over and over and over and over again and never get tired of. 1- Gilmore Girls 2. Grey’s Anatomy, 3. New Girl 4. Bones. This vacation, Meredith and McDreamy have been keeping me company.
Ok, now that we got that out of the way, onto the food! 😉
Another day, another turkey recipe. Since we cooked that 9 pound turkey, I have been looking for unique ways to utilize it into our meals. Soup, turkey salad, turkey sandwiches…BORING! I have been using it in omelets, enchiladas, and last night it was Turkey Tetrazzini. So apparently Turkey Tetrazzini is a thing??? I have found most of my turkey inspired recipes from just searching “leftover turkey recipes” on Pinterest. I found this one that looked interesting so I typed the recipe name into Pinterest and lo and behond, hundreds of recipes came up. Now I have never heard of Turkey Tetrazzini or eaten it before but it sounded interesting and different and yummy so I decided to give it a try. I searched around and got a general idea for he base of the recipe and made my own modifications based on preference and ingredients I had on hand.
Now, I didn’t include an amount-pasta wise because I am TERRIBLE when it comes to judging pasta. I always end up with too much or not enough so the best I can say is cook as much as you want.
Most of the recipes I found were casserole style, but I was hungry and I didn’t want to throw it in the oven for 20 minutes and cover it in carb infested breadcrumbs so I just ate it as is.
This recipe was pretty damn simple and really really good. I almost always have cream of….soups in the cabinet so this is definitely a recipe I can bust out at a moment’s notice. Try it. You will like it.
